In Swahili, "SAFARI" means "journey", or "expedition". Accompany us on a fantastic journey round the world to discover its wildlife.

Situated on a hillside, at the foot of Mount Pilat.

This site, composed of two parts, covers 80 hectares of land.

One which visited by car and the other one on foot.

You need at least half a day to take full advantage of your visit. Around 900 animals and the 130 visible species sharing this space will give you delightful moments.

The "Drive-through park"to be visited in your own vehicle, will take about 45 minutes to an hour. About a quarter of the 900 animals living in the Safari de Peaugres can be seen in the drive-through part.

The "Pedestrian circuit". You will then begin by a visit of the zoological gardens after having parked you vehicle on the parking lot. On your walk you will discover our exotic residents such as the giraffes, sea lions, snakes, monkeys, antelopes, and last but not least, the big carnivores and the small farm animals!

You can visit the park with a camping van or a bus as well as a car! You will encounter impressive animals such as bears and elephants, rhinoceroses, comfortably seated in your vehicle with windows closed of course!

You need at least 2h to 2h30 for the visit and you will find a selection of food & refreshment points and shops.

You will come across well-known animals (lions, bears, elephants& ) but also some lesser known ones (EEP species including lion tamarins, pygmy marmosets, red pandas, bongo antelopes and the extremely rare sika deer from Vietnam…).

At the meeting points, you will be able to talk with the keepers and discover their love for animals.

Don’t forget to go to the" Cabanes pas bêtes"!
5 play and educational areas for children: the hut for sound, skins, legs & paws, smells and… dung will allow you to find out everything about wildlife!
To learn by playing, it is easy!

Who will be the strongest in the Zoolympiades ?
Become an athlete for the day! During all the pedestrian visit, some games allow children, and even their parents, to compare their physical performances to that of the animals: how many times can you stand on one leg like a flamingo? Or hanging by your arms like a monkey?

 To end the day our huge playground JEMBO will make the children happy.
